Invited to represent Brazil in the 2000 Sundance Film Festival, this feature documentary looks at the complex problem of sustainability and deforestation in Brazil.  The film profiles several workers whose job it is to cut down trees in the Amazon and burn the wood for use as charcoal, a vital ingredient in the making of pig iron and steel production.
